Training of Aspiring Judges

The inception course for young judges – named “Stage” after the French word for “internship” – is organized by the Supreme Court. It consists of one year of studies and one year of supervised court practice. Upon the request from the French Embassy in Kabul, the Hamida Barmaki Organization supported the judiciary by educating qualified judges as trainers in the fields of law of obligations, international private law and civil procedure and assisted them in teaching the courses to the judge applicants.
